These sessions provide a great opportunity to enhance your skills and grow your career. Professional development courses will be held October 3, at the National Safety Council-Nebraska Chapter (3111 Oak View Drive | Omaha, NE ) from 8am-4:30pm.

#7405 Fall Protection
Learn how to identify, evaluate, prevent, and control fall hazards in the construction industry. This course
focuses on falls to a lower level rather than falls to the same level resulting from slips and falls. Topics include, identifying, analyzing, and preventing fall hazards utilizing OSHA Fall Protection Standards. At the conclusion of the course, students will have an awareness level of identifying fall hazards and methods to control and abate the hazards.

Safety for the Supervisor
This course is designed for individuals who are in a leadership/supervisory position. Though they may not be a safety manager or director by title, they have a crucial role to play in ensuring safe work practices are adhered to and the success of safety programs overall. This course will emphasize leadership and management principles.

Incident Investigation
This course focuses on the prevention of injuries, property damage, and financial loss by identifying incident root cause. The instructor will lead discussions focused on effective investigation and interviewing techniques to gather accurate data and identifying appropriate hazard control measures and the necessary follow-up. This class is part of the Advanced Safety Certificate program and will fulfill a requirement for that certificate.

Mental Health First Aid Training
Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based public education and prevention training program. It improves one’s knowledge of mental health and substance use issues and teaches how to connect with care. The
program was developed by the National Council for Behavioral Health. Registration is limited for this training session - register early.

The Summit conference and tradeshow will be held at the LaVista Conference & Convention center on October 4th. Registration begins at 7:30am with open session kicking off at 8am!
