Learn more about our Workplace Safety programs.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics 2019 Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries, 5,333 people – more than 14 per day – died while doing their jobs. Implementing safety measures can change these statistics – and save lives.  Our mission, as a non-profit organization, it to help reduce injuries and save lives.  Working together we can meet this mission.Var3 - Great Plains OSHA Education Center (002).jpg

The National Safety Council - Nebraska Chapter (NSCN) works with businesses to reduce costs associated with workplace injuries and fatalities by providing numerous safety and health training programs, consultation, services, and other resources. Our training and consulting staff provides years of experience and knowledge.

Our programs support your company's workplace safety needs by helping to reduce costs associated to workplace injuries and fatalities as well as career advancement as a safety professional.  The National Safety Council - Nebraska Chapter also serves as a host training organization for the Great Plains OSHA Education Center. As a host site, NSCN delivers occupational safety and health training to public and private sector workers, supervisors, and employers.  If you are looking for OSHA regulatory training, give us a call.

COVID-19 has changed the way we are all doing business.  To meet the ever-changing needs of our members and customers we continue to expand our offering of workplace training.

We offer a variety of training options to fit your organizations needs - including instructional, regulatory and hands-on training:

  • Traditional classroom training at our training center
  • Hybrid training sessions whereas some students are in the classroom while others attend at the same time via Zoom
  • Private on-site training at your facility.  This is a great opportunity to complete hands-on training using your equipment.
  • Online, computer-based training.  Complete the training on your time and, as an admin, you have the ability to view progress and document training completion.
