Bloodborne Pathogen

Course Description:

This program is ideal for first responders, healthcare providers, dentists, dental hygienists, lab workers, police, EMTs, paramedics, animal handlers and custodians— anyone exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials.

29 CFR 1910.1030 requires employers to safeguard employees who face potential occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. This course helps reduce these risks by focusing on how to protect employees from blood and airborne pathogens and what to do if an exposure occurs.

Course Includes:

  • Fundamentals of bloodborne pathogens
  • Essential information on hepatitis viruses, HIV, and airborne pathogens
  • Preventing infection from bloodborne pathogens

Participants receive a nationally recognized NSC Bloodborne Pathogen certification valid for 1 year.
