First Aid/CPR & AED - ONLINE

Course Description:

The National Safety Council, Nebraska makes it easy to receive First Aid and CPR/AED training. The curriculum meets or exceeds state, OSHA, and the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

The First Aid, CPR/AED online program covers all of the elements of the classroom course and includes a bookmark feature that allows you to save your place in the course. The online program teaches the knowledge portion of the course, clearly presenting learning points using animation, full-motion video, interactive user exercises and real-world simulations. Once the online portion is complete a hand-on skills testing is required. Students who successfully complete the online program and skills testing will receive a nationally recognized NSC course completion card valid for 2 years.

The course can be completed online at your own pace. Please plan at least 4-5 hours to complete the online course plus the skills testing.

  • Preventing disease transmission
  • Bone, joint, and muscle injuries
  • Bleeding, wound, and burn care
  • Sudden illness
  • Poisoning and allergic reactions
  • Breathing and cardiac emergencies
  • Choking care
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Your online course license is only active for 45 days.  After 45 days, your account will become inactive and you will need to purchase another online course license.
