Course Description:
Proper training in Pediatric First Aid and CPR, customized to meet the special needs of infants and children, is one of the most important steps in saving young lives. The National Safety Council Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED program was created for childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, coaches, parents, and others responsible for the lives of children. This comprehensive course meets or exceeds state and federal requirements for childcare providers and daycare facilities.
Course Includes:
- Preventing disease transmission
- Bone, joint, and muscle injuries
- Bleeding, wound, and burn care
- Sudden illness
- Poisoning and allergic reactions
- Breathing and cardiac emergencies
- Choking care
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Participants receive a nationally recognized NSC Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED certification valid for 2 years.
First Aid, CPR, Child Care Classes, and Emergency Care Series:
Registration policy: Advanced registration is required. For a full refund or to avoid a rescheduling fee, notice of changes must be given at least 5 business days before the class. A $25 cancellation/rescheduling fee will be issued to changes made within 5 business days prior to class. There are no refunds on no-shows. We reserve the right to cancel a class in advance. In this case, NSCN will provide rescheduling at no fee.
