Course Description:
Learn the requirements of OSHA's permit-required confined space standard, 29 CFR 1910.146. Course topics include safety & health hazards associated with confined space entry and the evalution, prevention and abatement of these hazards. This course is designed for small employers or a designated representative (line supervisor or manager) with the responsibility to develop a confined space permit program. Upon course completion students will have a basic understanding of confined space hazards, evaluating and abatement of the hazards, and determining when a confined space shall be classified as a permit-required space.
Note: For the hands-on section (instrumentation and control methods and testing), take OSHA 2264. This course does not feature those workshops.
