Our Driving Concern provides free resources on distracted driving, aggressive driving / speeding, passenger restraint, impaired driving and other transportation and driver safety topics. We work with key company employees, which might include risk managers, safety leaders and HR professionals, to build a company-wide driver and traffic safety program.
Our Driving Concern is a cooperative program between the Nebraska Chapter of the National Safety Council and the National Safety Council with support from the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Employers need a driver safety program:
The choices you make behind the wheel can indicate what type of driver you are. Are you Defensive? Aggressive? Average? Take our quiz to test your knowledge and your driving skills!
The National Safety Council, Nebraska proudly serves organizations across Nebraska whose focus is on keeping their employees safe and sending them home everyday. We regularly visit companies and learn about their programs, share information and review access to all the NSCN benefits and have the opportunity to tour their facilities. We'd love to learn more about your company and meet your team. Membership has it's benefits!
Distracted driving affects all of us. Whether you have lost a loved one due to a distracted driving crash or been inconvenienced by a fender-bender - it is prevalent in all our lives. Ten lives were lost in Nebraska in 2016 - that number nearly doubled to 19 in 2017. These are real statistics for a real problem.
